Buffalo Turkey Cheeseburger with Blue Cheese Broccoli Slaw
Description
Buffalo Turkey Cheeseburger with Blue Cheese Broccoli Slaw features ground turkey blended with grated carrots, garlic, onion, and Frank's hot sauce to provide a mild buffalo heat. The mixture is formed into patties, cooked in a skillet to preserve juiciness, and topped with reduced-fat cheddar slices. The broccoli slaw, tossed with a skinny blue cheese dressing, adds a crisp, creamy component when layered on whole wheat burger buns. The combination creates a burger with a balance of spicy, creamy, and fresh flavors.
The turkey burgers are cooked over medium-low heat after searing to ensure thorough cooking without burning the exterior. Topping with cheese toward the end melts it slightly, enhancing the moist texture. The broccoli slaw complements with its crunchy texture and tangy blue cheese notes. Using whole wheat buns integrates a nutty flavor and whole grain component.
This burger fits well as a main course for lunch or dinner and pairs well with side dishes like baked fries or a simple salad. It is a practical option for those wanting a buffalo-flavored burger with lean meat and a cooling, crisp slaw balance.
