Easy Butter Burger recipe for the most indulgent burgers ever with grated butter in the meat patties, American cheese, and caramelized onions.

Ingredients
Burger Patties:
- 1 pound ground beef , (85/15)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter , frozen
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
Toppings:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 yellow onion , diced
- 4 slices American cheese
To Finish:
- 1/3 cup butter , softened
- 4 large hamburger buns
- 8 pickle chips

Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high setting.
- In a large bowl add the beef, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Grate the frozen butter, then add it to the meat mixture.
- Mix the meat mixture gently with a wooden spoon.
- Shape into patties larger than the buns (by 1 inch).
- Press down on the middle of the patty with your thumb to make an indentation.
- Freeze the patties for 20 minutes.
- Add your onions to a large skillet with butter on medium heat.
- Cook for 7-8 minutes until they are just starting to caramelize.
- Remove the onions from the pan and set aside.
- Add beef patties to the grill and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side.
- Top with American cheese and cook for 15 seconds until cheese begins to melt.
- Spread buns with butter and toast.
- Add pickles, beef patty with cheese, onions and finally the bun tops.
