Butterscotch Bars
Description
Butterscotch Bars feature a batter made by creaming softened butter and brown sugar with vanilla and eggs, then mixing in dry ingredients—flour, baking powder, and salt. The inclusion of butterscotch chips adds a distinctive caramel note dispersed throughout the bars. After spreading the batter into a greased pan, the bars bake at 350 degrees until just set in the center, resulting in a tender, moist texture with a slightly crisp edge. Cutting while warm helps maintain their softness and ease of serving.
These bars serve well as a sweet snack or dessert, pairing nicely with a glass of milk or coffee. They also store conveniently in an airtight container for later enjoyment.
