Buttery Maple Peach Topping (Sauce) for Waffles, Pancakes, Ice Cream and More

A buttery topping filled with maple syrup and peaches for ice cream, breakfast dishes and more.

Ingredients
- 2 peaches ripe, sliced (nectarines are fine, too)
- 2 Tbsp butter good quality, salted
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- ½ cup maple syrup (real maple syrup!)
- 1 Tbsp Grand Marnier or Peach Schnapps
Instructions
- Place the peaches and butter in a sauté pan and cook gently for about 2 minutes.
- Add the brown sugar.And then the maple syrup.
- Continue to simmer over medium heat for another 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add the liqueur if using. Serve as desired.
Notes
- Any stone fruit works in this recipe: nectarines, plums, apricots, etc.
