California Spicy Crab Stuffed Avocado

This recipe presents ripe avocado halves filled with a creamy, slightly spicy crab salad made with mayonnaise, sriracha, and fresh chives. The addition of diced cucumber adds a crisp texture contrast, and a sprinkle of furikake or sesame seeds along with a soy sauce drizzle offers a savory, umami finish. Served cold, this is a fresh and flavorful appetizer or light meal.

Description

The California Spicy Crab Stuffed Avocado features lump crab meat mixed with a blend of mayonnaise, sriracha, and fresh chives for a balance of creaminess and heat. Diced cucumber adds a refreshing crunch to contrast the softness of the crab. The mixture is gently tossed to maintain delicate crab texture.

Ripe avocado halves are peeled or spooned out to provide a creamy vessel for the crab salad. Topping with furikake (a seasoning with sesame seeds and seaweed) adds a subtle nutty and savory flavor. Drizzling soy sauce enhances the umami complexity, especially when coconut aminos are used for dietary preferences.

This dish requires no cooking and serves well as a cold entrée or appetizer, delivering layered textures from creamy avocado to crisp cucumber and tender crab.
