Description

The dip starts by creaming together mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese) and drained ricotta cheese until smooth.   • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese or cream cheese
  • 1 cup (8 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together ricotta cheese and mascarpone cheese. Make sure to drain any liquid off of the ricotta cheese before adding it to the bowl! Add powdered sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla. 
  2. Whip for 2-3 minutes, or until light, fluffy, and perfectly creamy. Add more powdered sugar for a sweeter cannoli dip.
  3. Fold in mini chocolate chips. Serve with waffle cone cookies, butter cookies, shortbread cookies, strawberries, apples, and fresh fruits.

Notes

  • Drain liquid from ricotta cheese before mixing to ensure a creamy texture.
  • Full-fat cream cheese is recommended if substituting mascarpone.
