Caprese Salad

This Caprese Salad recipe is a classic salad made with just five ingredients - tomatoes, mozzarella, olive oil, basil, and balsamic glaze!

  • 2 large tomato washed and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 12 ounces mozzarella cheese sliced into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/2 /2 cup basil washed, rolled and sliced into thin strips, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 /2 teaspoon kosher salt optional
  • 1/2 /2 teaspoon black pepper optional, ground

Instructions

  1. Assemble caprese salad by alternating tomato and mozzarella slices on a medium platter. Top the slices with strips of basil and drizzle with olive oil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  2. Serve immediately.
