Caprese Skewers

Caprese Skewers assemble cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella balls, and basil leaves on skewers, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and seasoned with salt and pepper. This bite-sized appetizer offers a combination of creamy cheese, fresh herbs, and sweet-tart tomatoes in a refreshing, handheld presentation.

Description

Caprese Skewers replicate the classic salad flavors in a convenient, portable form by threading fresh cherry tomatoes, small mozzarella balls, and aromatic basil leaves onto skewers. The assembly is finished with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which enhance the natural flavors without overwhelming them. Seasoning with freshly ground salt and pepper balances and heightens the taste.

The combination emphasizes contrasts in texture and flavor: the juicy tomato bursts alongside the smooth mozzarella and fragrant basil, offering a light snack or appetizer. The preparation requires no cooking and can be done ahead, making it suitable for casual gatherings or quick bites.

Serve chilled or at room temperature. The skewers can be refrigerated for up to two hours before serving, maintaining freshness and structure.
