Cheerio Treats
Description
Cheerio Treats mix melted butter, marshmallows, and peanut butter to create a sticky base that holds the Honey Nut Cheerios and milk chocolate M&Ms together. Once combined and pressed into a greased pan, the treat is cooled and cut into bars or squares. The inclusion of peanut butter adds richness and depth to the otherwise sweet and light textures of the marshmallows and M&Ms. The cereal provides a satisfying crunch, contrasting nicely with the chewy binding mixture.
This no-bake treat is easy to prepare and serves well as a quick dessert or snack for kids and adults. The M&Ms add color and a chocolate touch that complements the peanut butter and marshmallow flavors, making these treats visually appealing and flavorful.
Pressing the mixture firmly into the pan before cooling helps the treats hold their shape when cut, ensuring neat squares. Using miniature marshmallows helps them melt evenly and blend smoothly with the butter and peanut butter.
