Cheese Bombs

Cheese Bombs use canned biscuit dough wrapped around a cube of cheddar cheese, baked until golden with a buttery garlic-Italian seasoning glaze and Parmesan topping. The soft, pillowy biscuit encases melted cheese, providing a rich, savory snack or appetizer with herb-infused aroma. Brushing with melted seasoned butter before and after baking adds moisture and flavor.

Description

Cheese Bombs start with Grands-style canned biscuits cut in half and filled with cubed cheddar cheese. Each biscuit is folded securely around the cheese and placed seam-side down on a greased baking sheet to prevent leakage and promote even baking.

The cheesy pockets are brushed with a mixture of melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning before a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese. Baking at 375°F produces a biscuit with a light golden crust enveloping melted cheddar inside. A final brushing of the seasoned butter and sprinkling of chopped fresh parsley finish the bombs, adding brightness and extra flavor.

Serve these warm bites immediately for best cheese melt and texture. They make attractive finger foods for gatherings or an indulgent addition to a meal.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 16.3 ounce can Biscuits Grands style
  • 16 cubes cheddar cheese 3/4" x 3/4"
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped, fresh
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Cut each biscuit in half crosswise with a serrated knife.
  3. Lay the biscuits on a baking sheet that's been coated in cooking spray.
  4. Place a cube of cheddar cheese into the center of each biscuit.
  5. Fold the biscuit dough around the cheese, pinching the seams to seal.
  6. Place each biscuit seam side down on the baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. You may need to bake the cheese bombs in batches.
  7. Place the butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Microwave until butter has melted.
  8. Brush 3 tablespoons of the garlic butter over the tops of the cheese bombs. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the cheese bombs.
  9. Reserve the remaining tablespoon of garlic butter.
  10. Bake the cheese bombs for 10 minutes or until lightly browned - do not overbake or cheese may spill out of the dough.
  11. Brush the remaining tablespoon of garlic butter over the cooked cheese bombs and sprinkle with parsley, then serve immediately.
