Cheeseburger Pasta Casserole

This Cheeseburger Pasta Casserole combines rotelle pasta with seasoned ground beef simmered in a tomato-based sauce enhanced by mustard and pickles, then topped with melted cheddar cheese. The dish mimics familiar cheeseburger flavors in a baked pasta format, creating a creamy, cheesy meal with tangy accents from the pickles.

Description

Cheeseburger Pasta Casserole starts by cooking rotelle pasta to al dente, providing a firm bite that holds up during baking. The beef is cooked with onions and garlic, then simmered in tomato paste or marinara with diced tomatoes and Dijon mustard, adding a mild tang and depth. Salt and pepper season the mixture finely.

Mixing the meat sauce with pasta creates a cohesive filling base. Topping this with shredded cheddar and baking until melted produces a layer of creamy, gooey cheese that contrasts with the savory filling. The final sprinkle of chopped dill pickles adds a crisp, slightly sour note that brightens the dish.

This casserole offers a straightforward way to enjoy cheeseburger flavors in a comforting baked dish, suitable for casual weeknight dinners. It requires basic ingredients yet brings a satisfying balance of creamy, meaty, and tangy tastes baked in one pan.
