Cheesecake Bars

Cheesecake Bars feature a graham cracker crust topped with a smooth cream cheese filling made from cream cheese, sugar, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. After mixing and baking until set, the bars chill to develop a firm, creamy texture typical of cheesecake, presented in a convenient bar form. This dessert combines a crumbly base with a rich, dense filling, suitable for slicing and serving at gatherings or as a simple treat.

Description

The Cheesecake Bars recipe begins by preparing a graham cracker crust from crushed graham crackers, sugar, and melted unsalted butter pressed evenly into a 9x13-inch baking dish. The filling is created by beating softened cream cheese and sugar until light and fluffy, then gently incorporating eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread evenly over the crust and baked at 325°F for 40 to 45 minutes, the bars set firmly but remain creamy.

Once baked, the cheesecake bars are chilled completely before serving to allow the texture to stabilize, making cutting cleaner and easier. The graham cracker crust adds a sweet, slightly crunchy contrast to the rich, velvety filling. This bar format provides a convenient way to enjoy cheesecake in sliceable portions without needing to prepare a full cake.

This dessert works well for parties or casual desserts and can be stored in the refrigerator after baking. The balance of tangy cream cheese and sweet crust defines its classic cheesecake flavor.
