Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries
Description
This recipe prepares large fresh strawberries by trimming and hollowing out their centers to create a cavity for filling. The filling is made by beating softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until light and fluffy. This creamy mixture is then piped into each strawberry to provide a smooth, sweet cheesecake flavor contained within the bright berries.
After stuffing, the filled strawberries are topped with graham cracker crumbs, adding a textural contrast reminiscent of a cheesecake crust. Chilling the assembled strawberries enhances the firmness of the filling and keeps the berries fresh until serving.
This dessert requires no baking and is quick to assemble, making it a convenient option for gatherings or a sweet snack. The balance between the tang of the cream cheese and the natural sweetness of strawberries creates a refreshing and rich bite.
Ingredients
- 1 lb strawberry large
- 1 (8 ounce) cream cheese package, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 /4 cup graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
- Rinse strawberries and cut around the top of the strawberry. Remove the top and clean out with a paring knife, if necessary.. Prep all of the strawberries and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy and creamy. Add cream cheese mix to a piping bag or Ziploc with the corner snipped off. Fill the strawberries with cheesecake mixture.
- Once strawberries are filled, sprinkle or dip the tops with graham cracker crumbs. If not serving immediately, refrigerate until serving.
Notes
- Use large, fresh strawberries and hollow them carefully for best filling capacity.
- For easier filling, use a piping bag or a small plastic bag with a corner cut off.
- Keep stuffed strawberries refrigerated until serving to maintain creaminess and freshness.
