Cheesy Baked Spicy Italian Dip
Description
Cheesy Baked Spicy Italian Dip blends cream cheese softened to smoothness with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Crushed Calabrian hot chili peppers provide a sharp, spicy kick, balanced by the savory, meaty flavor of chopped salami. Garlic powder and optional black pepper add depth to the mixture.
The mixture is baked in an oven-safe dish at 350°F for 20 minutes until bubbly, with an optional broil step at the end to create a golden, slightly crispy top layer. The result is a warm, creamy dip with slightly melted cheese textures and spicy undertones.
It pairs well with crackers, bread slices, or vegetable sticks for spreading, making it suitable as a party starter or a cozy snack. The recipe requires minimal preparation and showcases the blend of creamy cheese with spicy Italian flavors.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 1/4 cups mozzarella cheese divided, shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
- 2-3 tbsp crushed Calabrian hot chili peppers use 2 tbsp for less spicy, brand: Tutto Calabria
- 1/3 cup salami chopped
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- black pepper optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Combine the cream cheese with 3/4 cup of the mozzarella (save the other 1/2 cup for the top), all of the parmesan, crushed Calabrian chili peppers, salami, garlic powder, and pepper. I like to use a fork and make sure everything is mashed together well and fully incorporated.
- Add the mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top. Optional, but I like to then put it under the broiler for a minute or two to get extra golden. Enjoy!
