Cheesy Chicken Breasts

Cheesy Chicken Breasts are flattened chicken cutlets topped with a creamy mixture of cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, and herbs. The cheese blend includes garlic, parsley, chives, onion powder, salt, and pepper for flavor depth. The cutlets are prepared thinly to ensure even cooking and topped generously with the cheesy filling, resulting in a tender, flavorful chicken dish with a rich, melty cheese topping.

Description

This recipe involves slicing chicken breasts horizontally into thin cutlets to promote even cooking and tenderness. The cutlets are then pounded to an even thickness, helping them cook through quickly and evenly under the broiler or grill. The topping combines cream cheese softened to room temperature with shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, finely chopped garlic, fresh parsley, dried chives, onion powder, salt, and pepper. This mixture provides a creamy, cheesy, and herbaceous layer that melts well and adds savory notes.

Once seasoned, the cutlets are broiled or grilled until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese topping is browned and bubbly, creating a satisfying contrast between the moist chicken and melted cheese crust. This dish can be served as a main entrée, pairing well with simple sides such as steamed vegetables or salads to complement the richness of the cheese topping.
