Cheesy Garlic Bread
Report
Cheesy Mozzarella Garlic Bread (aka Cheezy Garlic Crack Bread) is the best garlic bread you'll ever taste, oozing with gooey cheese and seasoned with a perfect blend of fresh garlic and herbs. This family favorite only takes about 15-20 minutes to make and is the perfect side dish for any Italian meal, or appetizer for a party.

Ingredients
- 1 loaf Italian bread or French bread
- ½ cup salted butter softened
- 4 cloves garlic chopped or 1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- ⅓ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy clean-up. Combine softened butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl and mix well.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the bread in half lengthwise and place each slice onto the prepared baking tray.
- Spread the garlic mixture onto the cut side of the bread, then sprinkle evenly with the mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes until hot and the cheese has melted. Broil during the last 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the bread slices into smaller pieces if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Storage & Make Ahead
- Make Ahead: Spread the sliced bread with the garlic butter mixture, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2-3 days. Bake before serving.
- Store: Wrap tightly with aluminum foil and store on the countertop, where it will last for 2-3 days. Avoid refrigerating as this can dry the bread out and make it stale.
- Freeze: I would not freeze leftovers, but you can freeze as a make-ahead option. Spread the softened butter and garlic mixture over the bread and wrap with aluminum foil, then wrap tightly with two layers of plastic wrap and store in the freezer for up to 2 months. You can bake the bread from frozen by adding 10 minutes to the baking time, or thaw it overnight in the fridge.
