Ingredients
- 400 g (14oz) Puff pastry sheets thawed
- 150 g (5oz) prosciutto
- 2 cups grated cheese gruyere, mozzarella, fontina, cheddar. Even brie will be delicious.
- 1 egg
- fresh thyme optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/390°F.
- Spray a 12-hole muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray or olive oil spray.
- Slice the puff pastry into 12 squares and push a piece of pastry into each hollow in the muffin pan.
- Add a piece of prosciutto to each pastry then add grated cheese.
- Add a few sprigs of fresh thyme.
- Beat the egg with a tablespoon of water then brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash.
- Place the pastries in a preheated oven and allow to bake for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a minute then gently remove them from the pan and serve.
