Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Description
The recipe for Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies uses light or dark brown sugar and melted butter as a base to create a moist and tender dough. Eggs and an extra egg yolk enhance the chewiness and richness. The addition of baking soda, baking powder, and salt ensures proper rise and texture. Vanilla extract adds flavor depth.
The dough incorporates both semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips for a mix of chocolate notes within each cookie. Using a cookie scoop to portion dough balls leads to uniform cookies that bake evenly in a preheated 350°F oven. Baking times of 8-10 minutes yield cookies with a chewy texture; extending to 10-12 minutes develops crisper edges without sacrificing softness within.
These cookies work well as a classic sweet treat and can be adjusted by reducing chocolate chip quantity to preference. They offer a familiar texture profile enjoyed across ages and occasions.
