Chicken Kiev In Ninja Air Fryer Not Frozen
Description
Chicken Kiev In Ninja Air Fryer Not Frozen uses ready-made chilled chicken kievs placed directly in the air fryer drawer to cook evenly at 180°C (360°F) for 18 minutes. Frozen crinkle cut fries are cooked alongside in a second drawer, shaken midway to encourage even crisping.
After initial cooking, chicken is removed with its paper liner intact, simplifying handling. Peas are cooked with butter and seasoning separately for 4 minutes at 200°C (400°F), served alongside the chicken and fries. This stepwise approach balances cooking times for all components, ensuring the chicken remains juicy while the fries and peas are hot and tender.
This method suits ready-to-cook chicken kievs from chilled sections or homemade versions with similar thickness. It features practical timing to avoid thawing and efficient use of air fryer compartments for a coordinated meal ready in under 30 minutes.
Notes indicate that the recipe assumes certain brands and encourages trying homemade chips or other air fryer recipes for variety.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken kiev shop bought
- 450 g Frozen Crinkle Cut Fries
- 100 g peas frozen
- 1 Tsp butter salted
- salt
- black pepper
Kitchen Gadgets
- Air Fryer
Instructions
- Remove the chilled chicken kievs from the packaging and place into the air fryer drawer. Spread them out, so none are on top of each other.
- Place the frozen chips into the second drawer and give them a shake so that they are spread out.
- Set the match feature to 180c/360f and the cook time to 18 minutes. Halfway through give the frozen chips a shake.
- When the air fryer beeps, remove the chicken kiev by the paper liner (so much easier) and put to one side.
- In the spare drawer add the peas to a ramekin with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and some butter. Cook the chips and peas for 4 minutes at 200c/400f and then serve with the chicken kievs.
Notes
- Use chilled chicken kievs from the chilled section, not frozen, for accurate cooking times.
- If using homemade chicken kievs, similar timing and temperature apply.
- Cooking times are set to ensure the chicken is cooked through while fries and peas finish at crisp and tender textures.
- Peas cooked with butter, salt, and pepper add flavor and balance the meal.
