Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry Recipe
Description
The Chicken Teriyaki Stir Fry begins by seasoning chicken breast pieces with salt and pepper, then browning them in sesame oil over medium heat. Early addition of teriyaki sauce allows the chicken to absorb its flavor. Vegetables including sliced onion, bell pepper, carrots, and broccoli florets are cooked in sesame oil, seasoned lightly with salt, and combined with the chicken.
Remaining teriyaki sauce coats the mixture, finishing the cooking until broccoli turns bright green and remains tender-crisp. The stir fry balances the rich, savory teriyaki glaze with firm yet softened vegetables and juicy chicken. Sesame seeds and chopped green onions add mild nuttiness and fresh herbal notes as a finishing touch.
Served alongside rice, this dish provides a balanced meal with protein and vegetables. The cooking sequence allows each element to develop texture and flavor, and the division of teriyaki sauce application prevents overpowering saltiness while ensuring even coverage.
It can be stored in an airtight container refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months, making it convenient for meal prep or leftovers.
