Chile Lime Air Fryer Salmon
Description
The Chile Lime Air Fryer Salmon recipe combines spices like cumin, chipotle chile powder, and paprika to season the fish with warm and smoky notes. The chili lime sauce adds a balance of tanginess from lime juice, sweetness from honey, and heat from chili garlic sauce. Brushing this sauce over the salmon before and after cooking infuses the fish with layered flavors.
Air frying at a high temperature crisps the salmon's exterior quickly and seals in moisture for a juicy texture. The optional lemon slices placed around the filets add brightness during cooking. Preheating the air fryer is recommended to achieve even cooking and reduce overall time.
This salmon is suitable as a main dish served with sides like rice, vegetables, or salads. The recipe allows using frozen salmon by partially cooking it first before seasoning and saucing. Leftover sauce can be stored refrigerated, and the fish should be cooked to an internal temp of 145°F for food safety.
The notes suggest misting or oiling the air fryer basket to prevent sticking and recommend timing adjustments if skipping preheating. Using fresh garlic in the sauce helps ensure vibrancy in flavor. Overall, the recipe offers a straightforward way to prepare salmon with a layered chili lime profile and minimal hands-on time.
