Description
This recipe uses wild salmon fillets seasoned with a blend including Tajin Classic chili-lime seasoning, garlic powder, oregano, smoked paprika, and salt. The salmon is first prepped with oil and the seasoning, then baked briefly and finished in an air fryer to achieve a balanced texture between a moist interior and a lightly crisp exterior. Cooking in the air fryer allows for even heat circulation and a satisfying finish on the skin side.
After cooking, the salmon is served with freshly squeezed lime wedges and topped with chopped cilantro, imparting a fresh, herbaceous note. Optional toppings such as mango, avocado, or salsa can add sweetness, creaminess, or zest, respectively, complementing the mild heat from the chili-lime seasoning.
Ingredients
- 4 wild salmon 6 ounce pieces, fillet, skin on
- 1 1/4 teaspoons Tajin Classic seasoning or chili-lime seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- lime for serving, wedges
- cilantro chopped, fresh

- salsa
Instructions
- Spritz salmon all over with oil and season with chili-lime seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt and oregano.
- Bake on a sheetpan in a preheated 400F oven about 10 minutes.
- Spray the basket with olive oil or use air fryer parchment with holes to prevent sticking.
- Place salmon in the air fryer basket with the skin side down and air fry 400F for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Serve with lime wedges and top with fresh cilantro, and optional salsa if desired.
