Chili Lime Baked Salmon

This Chili Lime Baked Salmon features a well-balanced combination of chili powder, smoked paprika, and garlic powder, enhanced by the brightness of lime zest and slices. Baking the salmon in a chili lime olive oil mixture produces a tender, flaky texture with a subtly smoky and tangy flavor. The lime slices on top lend a fresh citrus aroma during cooking, while finishing with a squeeze of fresh lime juice adds a bright, acidic note.

Description

Chili Lime Baked Salmon highlights a salmon filet seasoned with a chili and smoked paprika blend, accented with garlic and lime zest. After coating the fish with this seasoned olive oil mixture and adding lime slices on top, it is baked until just cooked through, retaining a moist, flaky texture. This preparation allows the smoky chili flavors to infuse the fish without overpowering the natural salmon richness.

The result is a salmon with a mild heat and smoky aroma balanced by the freshness of lime. The direct baking method in foil-lined sheet allows for easy cleanup and even cooking throughout. Squeezing fresh lime juice over the salmon right before serving enhances the flavor with a light acidity.

This dish can be served with simple side dishes like steamed vegetables or rice to complement the spiced salmon. The recipe’s straightforward approach is suitable for a home-cooked meal where the goal is a flavorful yet tender fish with bright citrus notes.
