Chili's Big Mouth Bites Copycat
Report
Chili's Big Mouth Bites are the best two bite jalapeno ranch bacon sliders! They are perfect as an appetizer or as a main course with a side salad. One of my favorite appetizers at Chili's is their Big Mouth Bites! Sliders are always a fun way to start a meal and these are simply delicious.

Ingredients
- 12 slider buns
- 4 tablespoon butter (melted)
Slider Patties
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Slider Toppings
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 8 trips Bacon (approximately ¼ pound)
- 3 lices cheddar cheese (cut into quarters)
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon pickled jalapenos peppers (chopped)
Instructions
Prepare the Toppings
- Add the ranch dressing and pickled jalapenos into a blender. Puree until the dressing is smooth. The flavor increases the longer it sits in the fridge. Try to prepare it a couple hours in advance and store in the fridge while you prepare the sliders.
- Cut the slices of cheddar cheese into quarters
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crispy. Drain on paper towels. When the bacon has cooled, cut each strip into 3 pieces
- Remove some of the bacon grease leaving only 1 tablespoon in the pan. Add the diced onion and sauté until the onion is tender. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Prepare the Slider Patties
- Prepare the patties by adding the ground beef to a large bowl. Add the garlic powder, salt and pepper and mix until just combined. Form the ground beef into 12 small patties.
- Heat the skillet with the remaining bacon grease to medium-high heat. Add the hamburger patties and cook, turning once until the hamburgers are fully cooked 3-4 minutes per side.
Assemble the Sliders
- While the patties are cooking, cut the slider buns in half and spread the melted butter on the cut side of each bun. Place cut side up on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 3-4 minutes or until toasted.
- Remove the toasted buns from the oven and spread a layer of the jalapeno ranch dressing on the toasted tops and bottoms of the buns.
- Add a spoonful of sautéed onion on each bottom bun.
- Top each bottom bun with 2 pieces of cooked bacon.
- Add a slider patty on each bun and top with a piece of cheese. Place the top buns on the sliders. Serve and enjoy!
