Beginning with a sturdy lunch paper bag, its rim is folded down and the bag is coated multiple times with melted semi-sweet chocolate using a pastry brush, chilling between layers for even coverage. Once all sides and the bottom are covered and firm, the paper bag is carefully peeled away to reveal a hollow chocolate shell shaped like a bag.
Strawberries are dipped in the remaining melted chocolate and chilled until set, adding a fresh and juicy element with sweet chocolate coating. The chocolate bag is placed on a serving plate and garnished with the chocolate-dipped strawberries and other treats like cookies or candies arranged to appear as if spilling out.

Ingredients
- 1 sturdy lunch paper bag two if it's thin
- 16 ounce chocolate semi-sweet
- 16 ounce strawberry cleaned and dried, fresh
- Treats to fall out of the bag candy, cookies, fresh fruit
Instructions
- Open bag and fold down the top rim of the bag 1-inch. Set aside.
- Melt half of the chocolate chips in a double broiler or microwave until creamy.
- Place bag on a sturdy baking sheet. Spoon in some chocolate on one side of the bag and smooth to about 1/16-inch thickness with a pastry brush. Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes while the chocolate hardens. Repeat until all sides are covered in chocolate. Gently place bag up right and coat the bottom of the bag with chocolate. Return to the refrigerator until firm for about an hour.
- Dip strawberries in remaining chocolate and place in the refrigerator.
- Once the chocolate bag has set, slowly and carefully cut the bag away from the chocolate (start with scissors, then gently tear the bag). Return to refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Place chocolate bag on a serving plate and garnish with strawberries, cookies, candy or fresh fruit.
