Chocolate Cherry Smoothie

Report
The Chocolate Cherry Smoothie blends frozen cherries with chocolate protein powder, Greek yogurt, almond extract, and chocolate milk for a smooth, creamy drink highlighting fruit sweetness and chocolate richness. Optional mini chocolate chips can be added for bursts of chocolate texture. This smoothie offers a balanced flavor and flexible consistency adjustable by milk amount.

Description

In this smoothie, frozen cherries provide a tart and sweet base complemented by chocolate protein powder and vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt, introducing both creaminess and body. Almond extract adds a subtle nutty note enhancing the chocolate and cherry flavors. The use of chocolate milk (such as Fairlife Chocolate Milk) ties the ingredients together with a consistent chocolate undertone.

The recipe suggests blending for 45–60 seconds until smooth, and scraping down the sides midway to ensure even mixing. Adding mini chocolate chips just before finishing gives a pleasant chocolate texture without fully blending into the smoothie.

The thickness can be adjusted by varying the milk quantity, making this smoothie suitable for drinking or serving as a thicker bowl with a spoon. It works well as a refreshing breakfast or a snack, especially in warmer months.

Notes include omitting chocolate chips for a simpler breakfast option and adjusting milk for consistency preferences.

  • Omit chocolate chips if making this smoothie for breakfast to maintain simpler flavor.
  • Chocolate milk combined with chocolate protein powder provides a rich chocolate flavor.
