  • 1 cup butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 /2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 /2 cups chocolate chips dark, semisweet or milk chocolate
  • 1 cup pecans optional, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare a 9x13 baking pan with baking spray. Set aside.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Mix in the eggs, vanilla, salt, all-purpose flour, and baking powder. Mix until just well-combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans, if using. Spread into baking pan.
  3. Bake about 25-30 minutes, until set in the middle and lightly golden brown. Cool on a rack until completely cooled before cutting into pieces.
