Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

These Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies are chewy and hearty with a blend of butter, sugars, oats, and two types of chips—chocolate and peanut butter. The oats add texture and a wholesome flavor, while creaming the butter and sugars ensures a light, tender cookie with balanced sweetness and nutty richness.

Description

The recipe starts by creaming butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy, which aerates the dough for improved texture. Eggs and vanilla are added for moisture and flavor depth. The dry ingredients, including flour, quick-cooking oats, salt, and baking soda, are combined with the wet mixture to create a well-incorporated dough. Stirring in both chocolate and peanut butter chips provides bursts of complementary sweetness and nutty flavor throughout.

Baked at 350ºF, the cookies develop a lightly browned exterior while remaining soft inside, with visible oats adding chewiness. The union of chocolate and peanut butter chips enhances the rich, satisfying flavor balance, appealing to those who enjoy a classic peanut butter and chocolate combination with an oatmeal texture.

These cookies suit snack time, lunchbox treats, or casual dessert. Slight spreading during baking creates rustic, inviting cookies ideal for pairing with milk or coffee. Using quick-cooking oats helps maintain a tender bite without the cookies becoming too dense.
