Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Bars

These Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Bars combine a crumbly flour and butter crust with a rich filling of eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, chocolate chips, and pecans. The bars bake to a golden top with a chewy, sweet, and nutty interior. They offer a portable dessert that blends pie-like pecan flavors with chocolate in a convenient bar form, suitable for gatherings or snacks.

Description

Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Bars start with a crust made from flour, cold butter, and brown sugar, processed until crumbly and pressed into a baking pan, then baked until lightly browned. This base provides a tender, buttery foundation that supports the rich topping.

The filling consists of a mix including eggs, corn syrup, sugar, vanilla, melted butter, pecans, and chocolate chips, stirred until combined and poured over the partially baked crust. Baking the bars again sets the filling, which achieves a chewy texture integrating the crunchy pecans and melty chocolate chips. The result offers both nuttiness and sweetness with contrasting textures.

Once baked and cooled completely, the bars are cut for serving. They bring the familiar flavors of pecan pie with an added chocolate element in an easy-to-handle format. The combination is well suited to dessert trays, potlucks, or casual treats.
