Chocolate Chip Wheat Germ Cookies
Description
Chocolate Chip Wheat Germ Cookies mix all-purpose flour with wheat germ and quick oats, along with baking powder, baking soda, and salt for leavening and flavor balance. Butter and sugars are creamed until fluffy, then combined with egg and vanilla extract. The dry ingredients are folded in just until incorporated, followed by chopped pecans and semi-sweet chocolate chips for added texture and sweetness.
The dough is portioned into balls, gently pressed flat, and baked at 350˚F for 12-14 minutes until edges are set and lightly golden, yielding cookies with a tender yet chewy interior and a slight crunch from the oats and wheat germ. The pecans add a toasted nutty note complementing the deep sweetness of chocolate chips.
These cookies are well suited as a wholesome treat, combining familiar chocolate chip cookie flavors with additional texture and mild nuttiness from the wheat germ and oats. They make a pleasant homemade snack or dessert for those who enjoy a classic cookie with a small nutritional boost.
