Description
This Chocolate Cola Cake uses a boxed chocolate cake mix enhanced with melted butter, cola, milk, and eggs to create a moist batter. Mini marshmallows stirred into the batter give additional sweetness and texture. The cake is baked in a greased 9x13 pan until cooked through and lightly browned.
While baking, the icing is prepared by melting butter in a saucepan, adding cocoa powder and cola, and bringing the mixture just to a boil. After removing from heat, powdered sugar is blended in until the icing thickens to a pourable consistency. This cocoa cola icing is poured over the cooled cake, resulting in a glossy chocolate topping with a hint of cola flavor.

Ingredients
- For cake:
- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 1 butter melted, one stick
- 1 cup cola
- ½ cup milk
- 2 egg large
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- for Cola icing:
- 1 butter stick
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup cola
- 4 cups powdered sugar sifted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease a 9x13 pan.
- Mix the cake mix, cola, butter, milk and eggs until thoroughly mixed.
- Once completely mixed, stir in the mini marshmallows.
- Pour into the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Meanwhile make the icing:
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter.
- Mix in the cocoa power and cola. Bring just to a boil.
- Remove from the heat and stir constantly.
- Mix in the powdered sugar until a the icing thickens. Allow it to cool slightly.
- Pour on top of the cake.
- Let the cake cool completely before serving.
