  • 2 banana firm, sliced into thirds
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips recommendation: Enjoy Life brand
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 6 Popsicle Sticks
  • 2 tablespoon Heath Bar chopped bits

Instructions

  1. Slice bananas into three pieces and insert popsicle sticks as far as they will go.  Place on a parchment lined sheet pan and freeze for one hour.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring often.  
  3. Remove banana pops from freezer and dip into chocolate.  Use a spoon to ensure the whole banana is covered.  Immediately top with sprinkled candies.  Do one at a time, because once the chocolate sets you cannot get the candies to stick.
  4. Place back in the freezer until ready to serve.  

Notes

  • Freeze banana pieces spread out before dipping to prevent sticking together.
  • Dip and decorate quickly as chocolate hardens fast once cooled.
  • Store completed chocolate covered bananas in the freezer until serving.
  • Use firm bananas to keep shape when frozen and coated.
