Chocolate Covered Christmas Oreos
Description
This recipe uses Oreo cookies coated with melted candy melts in white, red, and green colors to give them a Christmas-themed appearance. The Oreos are dipped individually in the melted candy melts, and excess coating is gently removed to ensure even coverage.
Before the coating sets, the cookies are topped with holiday-themed sprinkles to add texture and seasonal decoration. They are then left at room temperature for about an hour to allow the candy coating to harden and form a crisp shell.
These decorated Oreos work well as holiday party treats, gift items, or festive snacks. The combination of the crispy candy coating with the familiar creamy inside of the Oreos offers a contrast in textures and flavors.
Storing them in an airtight container in the refrigerator preserves freshness for up to two weeks.
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Oreo cookies
- 6 oz. white candy melts
- 6 oz. Candy Melts red
- 6 oz. green candy melts
- Sprinkles Christmas
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
- Place each of the candy melts in a separate microwave safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval until fully melted. Be careful not to over heat.
- Then place an Oreo in the melted candy and use a fork to remove the Oreo carefully.
- While the Oreo is on the fork gently take the fork against the side of the bowl to remove any excess candy from the Oreo.
- Then place the Oreos on the baking sheet and top with the holiday sprinkles before they dry.
- Let them sit at room temperature for approximately 1 hour to set and then enjoy!

- Store the chocolate covered Oreos in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
