Chocolate Covered Ritz Crackers
Description
This recipe assembles peanut butter-spread crackers topped with another cracker to form small sandwiches. Milk chocolate is melted and used to coat the cracker sandwiches completely. Allowing the chocolate to harden at room temperature forms a firm chocolate shell encasing the peanut butter and cracker layers.
The salty, buttery Ritz crackers complement the sweet peanut butter and chocolate, producing a snack with multiple textures: crispiness from the cracker, creaminess from the peanut butter, and a solid, glossy chocolate coating.
Once set, these treats can be enjoyed immediately or stored properly. They are convenient for serving as finger snacks or dessert bites.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature to keep them fresh for up to one to two weeks.
