Chocolate Energy Balls (5-ingredients!)

These Chocolate Energy Balls are made from walnut meal, Medjool dates, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Blended into a sticky dough and rolled into bite-sized balls, they offer a chewy, naturally sweet snack with a balanced chocolate flavor. They’re suitable for on-the-go energy boosts and simple to prepare without added sugars.

Description

The recipe uses raw walnuts ground finely, combined with soft pitted Medjool dates and cocoa powder for chocolate flavor. Vanilla extract and salt enhance the taste. Once processed into a sticky dough, the mixture is rolled into balls, optionally coated in cocoa powder for an extra chocolate touch.

The texture is chewy and slightly firm from the nuts, with natural sweetness from dates balancing the rich cocoa. These no-bake energy balls store well in the refrigerator or freezer, making them convenient for snacks or light bites.

Walnuts provide a slightly bitter, nutty base, though pecans can be substituted for a similar texture. Almonds or cashews may be used but require thorough grinding as they create a harder texture.
