Chocolate Frosting Recipe
Description
The frosting starts by blending softened butter and sifted cocoa powder until smooth and even. Vanilla extract is added for flavor, followed by gradual incorporation of powdered sugar to achieve a sweet, chocolatey base. Milk is streamed in slowly to adjust consistency, allowing control from thick to spreadable. Whipping the mixture until light and fluffy improves texture and ease of application.
This frosting is suitable for topping cakes or about two dozen cupcakes, depending on desired coverage. Adjust milk or powdered sugar to alter thickness for piping or spreading. It holds shape well once applied.
If the frosting is too thick, add milk a little at a time; if too thin, add more powdered sugar incrementally to reach the desired consistency.
