Chocolate Haystacks Recipe

Chocolate Haystacks are no-bake treats made by combining melted chocolate with crispy chow mein noodles and optional toasted nuts. The mixture is scooped into clusters and chilled until firm, resulting in a crunchy yet chocolatey confection. The recipe offers flexibility with chocolate types and nut choices, making these bite-sized sweets convenient and customizable.

Description

The Chocolate Haystacks recipe blends melted chocolate—milk, semi-sweet, or dark—with crunchy chow mein noodles, and optionally toasted nuts such as almonds, peanuts, cashews, or pecans. After melting the chocolate, the noodles and nuts are gently folded in to coat evenly. The mixture is portioned onto parchment-lined baking sheets into tablespoon-sized clusters.

Chilling the clusters in the refrigerator or freezer allows the chocolate to set, binding the ingredients into crisp, textured sweets. A sprinkle of sea salt can be added on top to enhance the chocolate flavor. The result is a combination of rich chocolate with a crispy crunch from the noodles and added nutty texture when nuts are included.

These treats are simple to prepare with minimal cooking steps, can be stored in airtight containers, and serve well as quick snacks or dessert bites.
