Chocolate ice cream is a delicious treat that is easy to make with an ice cream maker. Creamy, sweet, and chocolatey goodness in every bite!

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups half and half see note
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips melted and cooled
Instructions
- Combine sugar, heavy cream, and half and half and mix until sugar is mostly dissolved.
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 seconds increments.
- Combine chocolate with cream mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Use in ice cream maker according to manufacture's instructions.
- The ice cream will be slightly soft when it is finished in the ice cream maker.
- For more firm ice cream, place in the freezer for 3-4 hours.

Notes
- Milk can be substituted in place of the half and half but the ice cream will not stiffen as much in the ice cream maker and it will be slightly icier. The heavy cream should not be substituted.
