Chocolate Lasagna Recipe
Description
Chocolate Lasagna Recipe begins with a crust made by mixing flour, butter, and finely chopped pecans pressed into a 9x13 pan and baked lightly. The crust’s texture is crumbly and nutty, providing a sturdy foundation for the creamy layers above.
The cream cheese layer blends softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and half of the Cool Whip carton, creating a smooth and sweet filling that contrasts nicely with the slightly denser crust. Over this, a pudding layer made from chocolate and butterscotch instant pudding mixes beaten with milk adds a rich, creamy component with both chocolate and caramel notes.
The top is finished with the remaining Cool Whip spread evenly and chilled to allow the layers to set. This dessert suits serving chilled and offers a combination of textures from crumbly crust to creamy fillings and airy topping, making it a popular sweet treat for gatherings.
Softening cream cheese before mixing prevents lumps in the filling. Sifting powdered sugar helps achieve a smooth texture in the cream cheese layer. Using unsalted butter in the crust allows control over the saltiness.
