Description
Starting with a base of sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, and creamy peanut butter, this recipe creates a thick, fudgy mixture infused with vanilla. The mixture is heated on low to meld the ingredients smoothly without burning. Once removed from heat and slightly cooled, half the mini marshmallows and peanuts are stirred in to distribute texture and sweetness throughout.
The batter is then spread in a lined pan, topped with the remaining marshmallows and peanuts pressed gently on top to adhere during chilling. Refrigeration firms the squares, allowing them to slice cleanly while maintaining a soft, chewy texture mingled with crunchy peanuts and marshmallows.
This treat balances the sweetness of chocolate and peanut butter with the light chew of marshmallows and nuts, making it a tactile and flavorful dessert or snack option.
Ingredients
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips divided, semi-sweet
- 1/2 cup peanut butter creamy
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup peanuts salted is okay too, unsalted
Instructions
- Spray an 8x8 inch baking pan with vegetable oil spray or line with parchment paper.
- Add the condensed milk, peanut butter chips, 1 cup chocolate chips, peanut butter and vanilla into a large dutch oven on medium low heat for about 5 minutes (mixture will be very thick).
- Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix in half of the marshmallows, peanuts and remaining chocolate chips and transfer to 8x8 inch baking dish lined with parchment paper. Then top with the rest of them pushing them in slightly to adhere them to the mixture.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours until fully chilled before slicing.
