  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 egg large
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract pure
  • 1 cup Oreo cookie can use Thin Mints, mint, chopped
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • 3/4 cup mint chips or chopped up Andes mints, Guittard brand
  • sea salt for sprinkling on cookies, flaky

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat. Set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa. Set aside.
  3. With a stand mixer or hand mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until smooth. Add in eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients and mix on low until just combined. Don't over mix.
