Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars combine a creamy peanut butter and maple syrup base thickened with oat flour, topped with a smooth chocolate and peanut butter layer. Chilled until firm, the bars offer a rich, dense texture pairing nutty and sweet chocolate flavors, making them a satisfying cold treat or snack.

Description

These bars start with a base made by mixing creamy peanut butter and maple syrup, warmed until smooth, then combined with oat flour to bind the mixture. This creates a thick peanut butter layer that is pressed evenly into a lined square pan.

The topping consists of melting chocolate chips with additional peanut butter, stirred until smooth and spread over the base layer. The bars are then chilled in the refrigerator for several hours to set firmly.

Once chilled, the bars have a dense, chewy texture with a creamy peanut butter flavor contrasted by the rich chocolate topping. They are best served cold and make a convenient dessert or snack to prepare ahead.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
