Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies combine a rich peanut butter dough with cocoa powder, semisweet and peanut butter chips, and chunks of peanut butter cups. The cookies bake into soft, thick rounds with chocolate and peanut butter flavors intertwined throughout. Chopped peanut butter cups inside add a moist, melty texture and bursts of sweetness.

Description

This cookie recipe starts by blending softened butter with white and brown sugars until fluffy. Eggs, vanilla extract, and peanut butter are incorporated before folding in a mixture of all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. The dough is thick, holding semisweet and peanut butter chips along with roughly chopped peanut butter cups for extra texture and flavor depth.

Baking at 350°F for 11 to 13 minutes yields cookies with a tender yet substantial crumb and visible melty peanut butter cup pieces. Cooling on the sheet before transferring prevents breakage. The combination of cocoa and peanut butter pairs well, offering a sweet and slightly salty contrast.
