This easy chocolate sauce recipe is a easy homemade sauce and takes any dessert to the next level. A great recipe to top a scoop of ice cream or brownies! This easy recipe can be made in minutes.

Ingredients
- 1/4 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 3/4 cup evaporated milk (a 5 ounce can)
- 1/4 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/8 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a cold saucepan, stir the cocoa powder and sugar together well. Whisk in the milk, melted butter, and salt.
- Start off on a low heat and gradually increase heat until it reaches a boil. Continue stirring until it starts to thicken, about 1-2 minutes. You want it to coat the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. If you want a thicker mixture cook longer. It will still be thin once you are done with this step. Don't worry once you let it cool down a bit it will thicken. It will thicken a lot when chilled. Makes around 1 cup of sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
