Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Oats
Description
This recipe layers ingredients in a jar or bowl, combining oats with dairy and non-dairy liquids plus protein powder for texture and nutrition. Fresh strawberries add juiciness and bright contrast to the chocolate flavor, while mini chocolate chips provide small bursts of sweetness.
Chilling for at least two hours allows the oats to absorb moisture and soften, yielding a ready-to-eat creamy consistency that’s ideal for quick mornings or meal prep.
The oats can be enjoyed cold straight from the fridge or gently warmed, with extra almond milk added if desired to loosen the texture. This flexibility suits varied preferences and breakfast routines.
These oats keep well refrigerated for up to three days, making them practical for preparing several servings ahead of time.
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup rolled oats
- ⅓ cup vanilla yogurt
- ⅔ cup almond milk unsweetened
- 1 chocolate protein powder
- 3 strawberry diced, fresh
- 1 tbsp mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Wash and dry the strawberries. Then, remove the stems and dice fruit into small pieces.
- Next, pour the rolled oats, yogurt, almond milk, and also protein powder into a mason jar or small Pyrex bowl.
- Stir together and then add fresh strawberries and chocolate chips. Stir again.
- Then, place the lid on the jar/bowl and store in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Stir before enjoying! I like to add an extra ⅓-½ cup of milk before eating to make them extra creamy.
Notes
- Store overnight oats in the refrigerator for up to 3 days to maintain freshness and texture.
- Add additional milk (about ½ cup) before eating to adjust creaminess as preferred.
- The oats can be eaten cold or warmed in short intervals, adding milk if reheated to keep creaminess.
