Christmas Cornflake Wreaths

Christmas Cornflake Wreaths are festive treats made by coating crunchy cornflakes with a buttery, melted marshmallow mixture tinted green, then shaped into miniature wreaths. They are decorated with red cinnamon candies to mimic holly berries, creating a colorful, chewy snack. These wreaths offer a sweet, slightly sticky texture and a buttery flavor from the melted marshmallow coating, making them a simple holiday confection easy to share or pack for parties.

Description

This recipe for Christmas Cornflake Wreaths starts with a base of crisp cornflakes combined with a melted mixture of butter and marshmallows colored green with food coloring. Once the marshmallows are fully melted, they coat the cereal evenly, binding it together with a sticky, sweet glaze. The mixture is then shaped by hand into wreath forms on parchment paper, using greased or dampened hands to prevent sticking. Each wreath is topped with small red cinnamon candies to resemble traditional holiday wreath decorations. The wreaths set as the marshmallows cool and harden, giving a chewy and crunchy texture. These treats can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a week or frozen for longer preservation, making them a convenient option for festive gatherings or gifts.
