Christmas Fudge
Description
Christmas Fudge is a sweet confection made by melting white chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and butter for extra creaminess. Peppermint extract adds a refreshing flavor that complements the sweetness. The fudge is separated into portions and colored with red and green food coloring to produce festive swirls, adding a seasonal visual appeal. Carefully warming the mixture in the microwave while stirring prevents the chocolate from seizing. The fudge is then poured into a lined pan and decorated with optional holiday sprinkles, creating a colorful and soft treat.
The peppermint flavor gives the fudge a bright taste ideal for winter holidays, contrasting the dense, creamy texture. It can be cut into squares and served as a festive dessert or shared as a holiday gift. The red and green swirls make it suitable for Christmas presentations.
Store this fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days to maintain freshness. You can substitute peppermint extract with mint or vanilla extracts or change the food coloring to fit other holidays. Using a double boiler instead of microwaving is an alternative melting method, but ensure no water touches the chocolate mixture to avoid seizing.
