Description

  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows approximately 6 cups
  • 1 tablespoon half and half milk can also be used
  • 6 cups crisped rice cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M candies
  • 3 tablespoons Sprinkles Christmas colored
  • 1 tablespoon sprinkle sugar red and green

Instructions

  1. Melt butter on low heat in large pot or dutch oven.  Add marshmallows, stirring often, until smooth and melted. Mix in half and half and remove from heat. 
  2. Add in cereal, candies, sprinkles, and sugar and mix until mixture comes together. Press mixture evenly into an 8x8 or 9x9 inch baking dish. 
  3. Add more sprinkles and sugar to top if desired.  Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares with sharp knife.

Notes

  • Use a 9x13 inch pan for larger, traditional-sized treats if desired.
  • To avoid sticking, cover the cereal mixture with parchment, waxed paper, or plastic wrap before pressing it into the pan.
  • Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days for optimal texture and flavor.
  • Individually wrapping treats in plastic wrap helps keep them fresh and portable.
