Ingredients

Servings
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder unsweetened
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup butter unsalted
  • 1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • cups brown sugar
  • 4 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 16 small candy cane sticks
  • 2 cups green frosting homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray. You can also line your pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small mixing bowl whisk together flour, unsweetned cocoa powder, and kosher salt and set aside.
  3. In a 12-inch skillet, add butter and place over medium heat.
  4. Once the butter is melted, add the chocolate chips and stir to gently melt the chocolate. The mixture should not be bubbling, so make sure to keep your heat at medium or medium-low.
  5. Once melted, remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
  6. Whisk in brown sugar until combined.
  7. Add eggs one at a time, whisking thourougly in each addition.
  8. Mix in vanilla extract.
  9. Add the chocolate mixture to the flour and fold to combine.
  10. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes until fully cooked.
  11. Let the brownies fully cool.
  12. Once cool, cut the brownies into triangles. You should get around 16 triangles.
  13. Stick one mini candy cane stick into the bottom of the triangle, frost or pipe on frosting, and decorate with sprinkles.

Notes

  • If you don't want to make homemade brownies, you can use boxed mixes. Make sure you're using a boxed mix that makes a 9x13 tray.
  • You can make your favorite buttercream recipe or use a store-bought frosting for the frosting.
  • I used green gel food coloring to dye my frosting.
  • If you don't let the brownies cool they risk breaking when you cut them into triangles.
