Chunky Monkey Brownies

These brownies combine traditional butter and brown sugar batter with ripe banana and semi-sweet chocolate chips to create a thick, dense texture with rich chocolate flavor and subtle banana sweetness. The additional chocolate chips sprinkled on top add extra chocolate bursts and a slightly crisp finish. They bake to a fudgy consistency perfect for cutting into squares.

Description

Chunky Monkey Brownies start with a smooth batter made by creaming together softened butter and sugars, then mixing in eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Flour and ripe banana are folded in, adding moisture and mild sweetness to the batter. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are incorporated throughout the batter, with extra sprinkled on top for a chocolatey crust.

The brownies bake in a greased 9 x 13 pan at 350°F until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean, yielding a thick and fudgy dessert with concentrated chocolate and banana flavors. The banana helps keep the brownies moist while balancing the chocolate richness.

Once cooled completely, the brownies cut into dense but tender squares suitable for casual snacking or dessert. The recipe does not include additional frosting or toppings, letting the banana and chocolate shine.
